The Story
The SUMMIT Fret Shock Absorber is meant to be used with acoustic instruments to absorb the shock or force from a hammer when installing frets that go past the heel where the fretboard is no longer supported by the neck and lays on the top of an instrument. Other shock absorbing tools tend to be very large, heavy, and clamp down on the instrument, fixing the inside support to one spot. The SUMMIT Fret Shock Absorber is hand-held, allowing you to fine-tune where you need support when hammer in frets. A must have for any luthier/repair tech refretting acoustic instruments.
